I apologize for my inconsistency in updating you but I have finally finished the after surgery chemo protocol AND the CAT scan and it was confirmed that All the cancer is gone. Finally all tubes and IV's are removed and my only appointment is a follow-up in January. Praise God! Sorry my dear friends...I have been a little slow in responding concerning my health. I had another set back over the Memorial Day week end and ended up in the hospital the full week end. My port became infected and had to find the right antibiotic. we believe we have it on the run now. but i was back in surgery...getting the port removed. My dear friends and family..... Here I am again....and I am feeling pretty good. Between my last post and this current one...I have been in 2 hospitals, had a "bleeder" in my stomach (a mammory artery that had to be fixed,') and a hospital room quarantine because of the virus, an ambulance ride to Tampa, and two covid-19 tests. yuck.....is all I can say about those invasive tests. but the most important thing....God is leading me through this journey that started almost a year ago. Friends, we didn't get home yesterday (Monday) until 9 p.m. from Moffitt Cancer Center. But we did come with good news. According to my doctors, not every Pancreatic Cancer patient is a candidate for Whipple Surgery. The Captain and I were praising God when we learned that I am a "good candidate" and the scheduled surgery date of 13th of March is a "Go". The doctor moved the date from 17th to 13th.
