Friends, I have readers that say to me, I don’t want my home to look like Macy’s Display Windows, I just want to add a little Fall/Autumn to my decor.
This is easy to do and most likely you have all the pieces to do just that without going overboard, as they say.
For example in the Fall/Autumn vignette above, you have seen the vintage seed box in a post here.
I used the same seed box, gloves, small shovel and yes, the same seed packets from that post from last year on my entry table for my Fall/Autumnal vignette.
I have to confess the little fox is new.
Look at his cute little plaid accents on brown leaf jacket, and he is holding a cane with yellow berries.
I couldn’t resist him and so the first time I saw him a couple months ago, I just had to have him.
He sorta matches my reading raccoons in my Fall/Autumn tablescape that you can see here.
I took a few Fall leaves and draped them around the bottom of the Fox and sat him on a wood slice and he was ready to go.
Simple.
You can also take an existing wreath, in this case a boxwood wreath, and add a few stems of sunflowers and berries to add a little Fall color to your dining room.
I buy stems of flowers and leaves from the dollar store and use clippers to cut them off the cluster of flowers or leaves and then I stick them into any wreath.
Perfect for just a little color.
Another simple decorating tip is to use seasonal throw pillows on your furniture.
I personally buy only pillow covers and change them out as the seasons pass.
I found these pillow covers online at Amazon for 16.99 for four pillow covers and free shipping!
They are well made and the fabric is cotton blend linen.
Another easy to do vignette is to take anything you have that allows the placing of leaves or sunflowers or any type of orange or yellow daisy around the base.
In this vignette, I used an orange bowl and platter that I sat on a mirror and I placed faux candles in Fall candle rings at each end of the table.
The reason I used a mirror was because I knew I wanted to use amber fairy lights in and about the vignette.
I thought the mirror would make it look like there were more little lights than there are.
I sat one of the candles up on another candle holder to give varying heights.
Again very simple to do.
Finally, I used a Cinderella black iron carriage and I placed a faux pumpkin in it along with more sunflowers and Fall leaves.
The little amber fairy lights look so pretty at night as they are on a timer and come on automatically to give a little glow to the carriage.
So my dear readers, I have shown you a few simple ways to decorate your home without going overboard and yet giving your home a little Autumnal look.
Take any or all these ideas if you like and let me know how they work out for you.
Tell me about any vignettes you like to set up in your home.
Let’s share!
Have a Blessed Day!

I just love that sweet little fox!! May I ask where you bought him???? I love your Fall decor…. I tend to go all out when decorating for the Holidays, no matter what Holiday. I like the way it changed the look of the house because I tend to get bored very fast…..
Hugs,
Deb
