Sometimes You Can’t See The Forest For The Christmas Trees Tablescape….
Do you hear it?
There it is again.
The sounds of Christmas are blaring out of my car radio….and just about any public building and/or elevator one enters these days.
I am sure the sounds have been around for a few weeks but I made a conscious effort to “tune them out”.
Until now!
It is time for Christmas and I wanted to share one of the many tablescapes from last year.
I call it the Christmas trees tablescape.
When I see a beautiful Christmas Tree glittering with holiday lights, it makes my heart smile….and I find myself smiling all over as I sing (or hum) the song, “O Christmas Tree”…
“Oh Christmas Tree, O Christmas Tree!
Much pleasure thou can’st give me;
How often has the Christmas tree
Afforded me the greatest glee!”
Christmas Song – O Christmas Tree Lyrics
Don’tcha just love it?
I have been addressing my Christmas cards at the dining room table…..
…….and I absolutely, positively, unequivocally, undoubtably, indisputably, undeniably,
…….have to have the tree tops glistening, listening for sleigh bells in the snow.
OK, the sleigh bells in the snow is a stretch for Florida!
But I can have Christmas carols playing softly in the background.
I really do love the beauty of Christmas!
sigh.
I know, …..I am ever the romantic!
You see, I still believe in Camelot, Knights in Shining Armor and Ice Palaces!
Speaking of which;
Who can ever forget the beautiful snow-covered home in the movie “Dr. Zhivago”?
Imagine what that would have looked like with thousands and thousands of little white lights.
Stunning!! Am I Right?
I know, I know…..
……only I could fantasize about a frozen tundra in Siberia, Russia!!!
Easy for me to say, right? As I sit in 70 degree Florida weather!
Anyway,….so with this same vivid imagination, I created a tablescape with glittering Christmas trees!
The un-adorned trees have sprinkles of gold glitter and they sit in a cluster. You can find all colors and sizes of these bottle brush trees here if you are interested.
The trees are the centerpiece of the kitchen nook table. I pulled from . my stash a few pine cones and the Christmas ornaments that have glittery Christmas Trees on them. They sit amid the bits of frosted greenery.
I used a chippy white charger and stacked a white ironstone plate, a green holly and red berry trimmed dinner plate, and a Spode Christmas Tree salad plate (here) for each setting.
I love the simple ironstone plates with red and green trimmed rims.
The stemmed glasses are also Spode and have Christmas Trees that match the Spode Salad plate. They can be found here.
The gold rimmed white cup and saucer sit nestled close to the forest of Christmas Trees.
I used green glass-handled flatware and a forest green napkin to finish out the place setting for this Christmas Trees Tablescape..
It is a simple tablescape made up of different pieces from my dinnerware sets…and I like the way the Christmas Trees glitter!
Excuse me while I sing…
“Oh Christmas Tree, O Christmas Tree!
Much pleasure thou can’st give me;
How often has the Christmas tree
Afforded me the greatest glee!”

Gorgeous Kari, You are full of the joys of the season already. I love the wine glasses with the Christmas trees. At first I thought the tree was inside the glass 🙂 Greetings from chilly Dublin, Ireland. But it is seasonal I suppose. x x Mags x x x
